Emulsion explosive: The explosive performance and storage stability of emulsion explosive can be improved by using hollow glass beads as sensitizer of emulsion explosive. The density regulators used in domestic emulsified explosives are mostly expanded perlite and chemical foaming agent. However, the density of explosives using expanded perlite is not easy to control, and is limited by its size, strength and oil resistance, which leads to the decrease of detonation performance. Therefore, the performances of emulsion explosives filled with hollow glass beads were studied. The results show that the hollow glass microspheres can be used as stabilizers and sensitizers of explosives, and the explosion distance, intensity and velocity of explosives can be significantly improved.
